Role within the Network

AP Sensing’s Distributed Fiber Optic Sensing (DFOS) technology monitors and optimizes critical infrastructure such as data centers, fiber optic networks, railway and power corridors, pipelines, airports and tunnels. DFOS systems capture acoustic signatures and temperature profiles over many kilometers in real time, like the human sensory system.

Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) turns fiber optic cables into thousands of virtual microphones. Using AI, the system detects, classifies and pinpoints excavation work, intrusions, weaknesses and physical damage with meter-level accuracy. Distributed Temperature Sensing (DTS) converts the fiber into thousands of temperature sensors that trigger alarms for fires, thermal anomalies or when thresholds are exceeded.

This scalable early warning and monitoring system helps operators protect assets, increase network and data center availability and enhance safety, integrating into new and existing infrastructure without additional sensor hardware.
